OPAWZ is pleased to welcome back OPAWZ Educator and famous international grooming master Betty Huang for the Advanced Creative Grooming Seminar!

This intensive 4-day course is designed to take professional groomers to the next level in their creative journeys. A specially-curated seminar that includes theory, advanced color and styling techniques, hands-on practice, and professional & educational skill development. 

This course is designed for the intermediate to high level groomer and culminates in a final project and assessment, as well as the opportunity to receive further certification and advance your grooming career through education. 

When: November 17th-20th, 2025, 9am to 5pm each day with a lunch break
Where: 5-120 West Beaver Creek Rd, Richmond Hill, Ontario 


Curriculum:

Day 1 – November 17  Coloring Techniques & Practice

  • Safety standards for pet coloring products by Dr. Gong, Chief Scientist of OPAWZ 
  • How to assess if a pet is suitable for coloring: hair health, length, base color, skin condition, and breed structure
  • Controlling cleanliness, saturation, and coat penetration in coloring 

Day 2 – November 18  Advanced Styling Techniques (Part I)

  • Four-section wool pad structure training
  • Adjusting design ideas based on different coat lengths
  • Coloring × trimming integration: creating 3D layering
  • Training in structural vision and design breakdown
  • Demonstration and practice: 3D carving, wave styling design, and gluing techniques 

Day 3 – November 19  Advanced Styling Techniques (Part II)

  • Intensive color-cut integration training: harmonizing color language and scissor techniques
  • Logic of coordinating coat lengths with color layouts
  • Balancing commercial practicality with creative expression
  • Applying classroom skills to daily grooming services 

Day 4 – November 20  Final Project & Graduation Assessment

  • Independent creation: integrate all course learnings into one final project
  • Complete graduation work on a live dog or model dog
  • Hands-on instructor guidance to refine work quality and professional presentation
